We are officially homeowners! We have keys, beautiful light fixtures are installed and paint is being slathered on walls! Our sorely missed "stuff" will arrive next Tuesday. I took some iphone photos of the "test walls" for Rick to see. I like how everything looks but hope that I didn't go overboard with variety of color. At least we wont get bored! So, do you think that we should paint the ceiling in the photo below?...the same color as the walls? A lighter cream? or leave it white? The baseboards are white and the floor is very dark wood. Our furniture is light gray.

I vote for white as well...it seems you have alot of other color going on. You couldalways paint it later.....if ya wanted to, but ya won't!!! LOL
I say paint it! It will look really nice with the dark beams and make the room feel cozy.
